Breezes of Confirmation

Na 'Opio are slowly going through the book Breezes of Confirmation - a story devided into different lessons with corresponding activities. The story is of a girl in Africa (Musonda) and her family.
The book is one aspect of the program and it serves as a springboard to talk-story sessions about different ideas na 'opio face, especially at this age (discovering their talents, making choices, and thinking about what they'd like to do later in life- and especially about service to their families and community).

Na Hoku 'Ula ~ Keiki Classes

In February we began our weekly keiki program called Na Hoku 'Ula (Radiant Stars), held right before the junior youth program every Friday evening.

(Classes are free for any keiki ages 4 to 10. Please contact us if you would like your keiki to attend so we can get you the registration form. Spread the word! Every Friday evening at the center!)

February 2008: Family Mural Art Project!

In February we played a lot of sports and worked on a group mural where everyone came up with a symbol or design to represent their families. (click on the pictures to see full sizes)
